I was watching CNN at work during my break and these were two of the three headlines they were pushing. My God, the world of news is turning cartoonish ala TMZ.
College football player Manti Te’o admits lying about his nonexistent dead girlfriend that was dreamt up in the mind of some dude by the name of Junior Felloffasofa (or something like that). Come on, he’s a college football player for crying out loud. Even if he was pro, this isn’t news.
Did Beyoncé lip-sync at the inauguration? It’s apparently a big enough deal for CNN to make it a teaser. We soon found out she did but hey, it’s not like she won Grammys by pretending to be someone she wasn’t.
And honestly, in regards to both of these “important” stories…

We are being bombarded by clutter, static and garbage! I guess we have to remember we live in a world where people watch the Kardashian’s and Honey Boo Boo. I’m almost sick that I know who they are and I have never seen an episode.
This is exactly the reason I don’t watch much TV and why it’s referred to as The Idiot Box. Hell, I don’t even own a DVR — there hasn’t been anything I wanted to see in years. The good thing is that those people you mention seem to have their stars fading which is fine by me.
