Background Acting

The Kid and David Caruso! originally posted April 9, 2009.

As a southern California native, it’s not uncommon to come across filming of movies or television shows either around my house or (former) place of employment.

So what do I do? In the olden days, I’d just say, “Wow, that was interesting.” But in the times we live in today, it’s easier for me to snap a few photos with either my phone or camera and blog about them.

Any blog entries that involve filming are conveniently labeled with the Filming tag, which can easily be accessed by clicking here. I also upload them all to my Flickr Collection aptly titled Movie and Television Filming.

I do this not only because it’s fun for me and my son, but to give those around the world that have never seen this kind of thing up close a personal account of “Hollywood Magic.”

There are quite a few entries here so go ahead and nose around and see what I’ve got.

Enjoy!

Note: since creating this page, I’ve been working as an extra for movies and TV shows. Here’s a list of work I’ve done so far. Click on the dates for related posts (if applicable) and the show’s home page In order of dates booked:
