Weight Loss


 

In short, between 2005 and 2008 I lost a lot of weight.

With 50 lbs. left, I started a blog to chronicle my thoughts, trials and tribulations while I was trying to lose those last pesky pounds.

It was something I’m glad I did as I have had many people e-mail me and leave comments telling me what an inspiration the blog was to them, and I’d be lying if I said that was never part of my plan. While I’m glad I dropped that weight, I’m just as grateful that many visitors felt compelled to make their own lifestyle change. My only regret is that I didn’t start the blog sooner!

The bottom line is that it’s very cool to look back and see what I was thinking back then, and how at times I felt I was stuck no matter how hard I tried. But it was those low points that got me going again and helped me reach my goal of weighing 200 lbs. (or less) by my 40th birthday in 2009.

Although I may have gained a few pounds back, I’m never gaining the 100 pounds I’ve already lost.
