Pinkeye!

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate header for today’s topic.

Just yesterday it felt as if there was something stuck in my eye. Like a tiny piece of dirt or something. The irritation persisted and I began using some eye drops to ease the irritation.

I woke up this morning to a right eye that was crusted shut on its corners. Yes, I had contracted pinkeye. Just lovely.

If you’ve never had it, it sucks. Your eye stings, it’s extremely sensitive to light, and it can also be swollen and suffer some pain. I had all of those symptoms. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun.

So we went to Wal-Mart to buy some Similasan Pink Eye Relief drops. It soothes better than regular eye drops but definitely stings as the fluid hits the eye. So yeah, it’s been a fun day.

But I did see something interesting while going from Wal-Mart to Sam’s Club. This was taken behind the stores in the Long Beach Towne Center, known for what could possibly be the most poorly designed parking lot in the world. At any rate, here’s what I captured with my phone-cam:
