My Reality Show Connection

There’s this show on Fox called The Next Great American Band. One of the finalists is a band called Denver and the Mile High Orchestra.

So where’s my connection, you say? A fellow by the name of Scott Steward plays the trumpet in said orchestra, and his wife has been a friend of Ann’s since high school. A distant connection, but a connection nonetheless.

Anyway, Pam e-mailed Ann to let her know that they were in town (Hollywood) this weekend for the taping of the show’s grand finale which will air on Friday, December 21. (They are one of the remaining bands!) Due to our previous engagements and a sick little boy, unfortunately we weren’t able to meet up with them for lunch.

Now I’m not a fan of reality shows by any means, but I’ve been watching this just to root them on–and to vote as well. That said, it is now officially your duty to watch the show on Friday and to vote for the one band that deserves to win: Denver and the Mile High Orchestra!
