I had the pleasure of spending the day with Anthony since Ann had to work. On the agenda: Driving range and a train ride.
Okay, Anthony’s all of two and nearing three. What does he know about golf? Absolutely nothing. But he does swing a mean driver:

His longest shot was about 20 yards. Most of the balls just ended up rolling on the screen you see in front of him. We were on the second level of the range so if you were a little thrown off by the image, that’s the reason.
When we got to the train station, I was able to get a better picture of the tennis ball car! Check it out:

See? Told you it was full. We hopped on the train and headed to downtown Long Beach and took it to the end of the line. At that point, we had to sit about 10 minutes before it moved again. But while sitting I was able to snap this picture that looks more like Miami Beach rather than Long Beach:

I always thought this one of the coolest buildings in the city. I love Art Deco and this definitely qualifies. It’s still in use, too.
By the time we got back to the Wardlow Station and into the car, the kid was tuckered out. We drove home, I put him bed and he slept for two hours. I rested as well. A fun day of father-son bonding was complete because when he awoke, Ann was just pulling into the driveway.
Finally there’s this, which is what happens when you have a few Chuck E. Cheese tokens mixed in with your change:

We broke the CoinStar! And you might have noticed the little widget at the bottom right of the blog. That’s my new Diet Progress meter. It’ll give you a quick update of what I’ve lost so far. And as of now, I’ve dropped 9 pounds.
Ann and I are also looking into buying a BowFlex. Not sure which one, but it’s definitely on the agenda. More on that later.
