A Lazy Week

Here’s where I make some enemies.

The following is a rundown of activities I did last week.

Playing Wii
Daily average: 45 minutes. Last week: 0

Lifting Weights
Daily average: 20 minutes. Last week: 0

Lunchtime 1-Mile Walk
Daily average: 1 mile. Last week: 0

It was also the week of Hallowe’en and there were goodies abound at our house. You know, we had to check out Anthony’s stash before we could give him any. Ahem.

So why are you my new best enemy? Because despite practically not lifting a finger last week in terms of exercising, and even consuming a Carl’s Jr. Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich and Big Burger, I still managed to lose 1.5 pounds (which is my doctor’s recommended target).

All of that means that as of this post, I have officially dropped 35 pounds in less than a year. And while we did buy ourselves some new spiffy bicycles last week, I don’t think the amount of riding I’ve done would have had much of an effect.

One more thing. Since that huge toy manufacturer sits directly behind my office building and I spend more than I’d like to think about over there, I’ve been considering taking some time to write an occasional honest product review. Anthony’s gotten a few really cool gadgets and I’ve seen him enjoy them and loathe them at the same time, so I thought I’d throw in my two cents now and then.

I’ve written reviews in the past on Epinions but I’d rather post them on ye olde blog just because it’s my own thing. So here’s where you come in: should I do it? Would it bother you to see an occasional toy review mixed in among my occasionally profanity-laced posts or should I create a new blog and post an alert here for those interested?

Go ahead and leave your comments. I’m ready!
