First of all, let me start this post off by stating that I’m not a techie. Sure, I like all things tech but I’m not into casemods and things of that nature. I just don’t have it in me for that but again, I love the stuff.
Second, this topic may have already been covered elsewhere but since this is one big series of tubes, I haven’t bothered to search any more than I already did. At any rate…
Last night–well, this morning, technically–I was goofing around with the Facebook app on my iPod Touch when I noticed something peculiar. And just so you know I have an iPod Touch and not an iPhone, here are the specs:
After viewing some photos through the Facebook app, I exited and went back into it for some reason. Now keep in mind that this was nearly 1 a.m. and I perhaps I thought I was being a bit dullisional about this, so I tried my hardest to get a screengrab of what I thought I was seeing.
At first, I noticed a Bluetooth icon on the upper right corner of the screen next to the battery life indicator:
Okay, fine, it’s late, I thought to myself. I did the screengrab above just to convince myself that I wasn’t going nuts. But then I became more and more intrigued by this icon and decided to try a few more without being connected to the WiFi, and it was then that I noticed a few additional items:
Not only is the Bluetooth icon clearly visible but you can also see AT&T on the left and the WiFi signal next to it. But wait, there’s more! Check out the following screengrab:
Not only can you see AT&T, the WiFi signal indicator and the Bluetooth icon, you can now see a phone signal indicator, the “charging” icon in the battery, and that the time on the clock was perpetually stuck at 3:07 a.m.
What does all of this mean? Probably nothing, but it was interesting enough to keep me up into the wee hours of the morning.
Wanna try it for yourself? The only way I was able to do this was by viewing somebody’s photo via the Facebook app, leave it there, exit the app, and then open it again. Keep an eye on the bar at the top of the screen and you’ll see it.
Other things. I am finally well enough to get back on my bike and and ride to work beginning tomorrow. This make me happy as it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done this, but it’s only going to be part time this week as we’ve got softball practice on Tuesday and Thursday, so I will be driving to work then. That leaves three days to ride and that’s a great way to ease back into things.
Hope you all had a great weekend. It’s back to the grind tomorrow…
