All the #lyrics posted around @thekiaforum for the @depechemode show. Fans for the shows I’ve seen there recently really enjoy having these and I don’t disagree. It’s pretty awesome and great for pictures.

(NOTE: Video spoilers NOT included in this post.) I know it’s a few days late but here are some shots and stories from Tuesday’s @depechemode show @thekiaforum.

I’d be lying if I told you that the last three years working exclusively from home have been fantastic: convenient, comforting, and relaxing. But I worked at the office yesterday and I’d also be lying if I said that I don’t miss these vistas. Covered about 2 miles in around 40 minutes on ground I haven’t pounded in over three years. While my preference would be to keep working from home, a few days a week of seeing this wouldn’t be a bad thing. The giant penny. Her Majesty, the Queen. Random art near the lighthouse. The trains and the Grand Prix being setup. This is Long-fucking-Beach. What a place to be.

There are just a handful of things from my life that I remember vividly but perhaps none as monumental as the ones surrounding this kid. The first was when Ann called me in September 2003 to say she was pregnant — I literally told her to come to the office so I could see her and share the moment. (I was so blindsided by it all that I had serious heart palpitations the next day.) The second was when I was leaving for work 9 months later and she called and told me her water broke. And of course the third being a few hours later when he was born. I will remember those forever along with his kindergarten graduation, high school graduation, prom night, and all the amazing, fun, and family moments we had together over the last 19 years. On this, his 19th birthday, I present a few videos: one shot at Tuesday’s @depechemode concert @thekiaforum and one from 2013 @cryptocomarena when he was just 9 years old, both of him singing “Enjoy the Silence.” Time flies, but our years as a family have been more than fulfilling and everything we could have hoped for. Happy Birthday, Anthony. Mom and Dad love you ❤️

I posted this as a private story the other day but I think it needs to be seen again. This is what greeted me when I walked from my parking spot to the office last Tuesday, the day I worked in the building. It’s called an #AtmosphericRiver and while they don’t dump heavy #rain all the time, it just shows no mercy and keeps on falling. It seems we’re done with them for now (I think) but it’s been a crazy few weeks. Keep in mind that the office is also close to the ocean so the intensity of the storm was even worse.
