Paying Up

I’m paying up in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

For the next 30 days, save for Hallowe’en when I may decide to change the banner for one day, you will see the current one with the Phillies logo incorporated into my blog’s name. If you want to know why, read the comments section on this post.

As was part of the deal, I must declare the following on this post for the same duration of time:

The Phillies are the Best. Team. Evar. Me and the Blue Skies is the Best. Blog Evar.

Happy now, Preston? 🙂

  1. Great job on the banner! I couldn’t be happier. (At least you don’t have to ride the train in a Phillies jacket) And I must say the Ramirez sure did hustle last night, so I give ya guys a little credit.

Thanks. Just a little something I threw together. Yeah, that practice jersey my brother (on the comment above) speaks of was a Christmas gift he gave me years ago with my name and number on back. I do like it but it ain’t seeing the light of day for a long time!

It was nice having Ramirez here for those last few months but unfortunately, I don’t see him returning. As for the rest of the team’s performance…quite an embarrassment I admit 😦

  2. After watching parts of the game last night, I must admit I’m more familiar with the Phils when compared to the ‘Rays, partly because of the shellacking they gave my Dodgers. Therefore, I hope they take it all!

    I didn’t even know Tampa Bay had a baseball team… 😛

  3. My beloved Phils got clobbered last night. It’s ok. They are coming home for 3 days with a 1-1 record. The Rays had the worst record in their league last year. I think most people in Tampa Bay didn’t know they had a baseball team either. LOL

  4. They did it, Dave! I’m so happy I don’t know which way to run. And since I’m feeling so good and generous, I’m gonna let you off the hook. Consider the bet has been fulfilled dude. I wish I was going to the parade but I don’t have any time off left at work so I will only be there in spirit! Woo Hoo!

  5. They did it indeed and not to my surprise!

And well, okay. If that’s how you want settle the bet, then fine. I had a new banner all ready if they won so since they did, I’ll post Monday since I have to show off my Hallowe’en and Dia de los Muertos banners 🙂

  6. @ Preston: Thanks! And honestly, I started putting it together during Game 2 🙂

@ Kimberly: Thanks to you, too! And I’m sorry you didn’t see the parade. That’s a bummer right there, but at least you got some free head-butting entertainment!
