The list starts off pretty vaguely with this topic.
Favorite song, what? Of all time? Of a certain decade? Of the moment? Pretty hard to say which is correct.
Look, I’m 42, have lived in 5 decades of music, have almost 9,000 songs on my computer, and continue to discover “new” music every day. Narrowing this down to one song is just not going to happen but I’ll at least give it a try. And I think it would be safe to say that this one is at least one of my favorites.
Alan Parsons Project – “Time” (1980)
It’s timeless, melancholy, beautifully arranged, and damn near gives me the goosebumps every time I hear it. Sheer musical perfection by one of music’s most underrated acts.
And it could quite possibly be on my playlist of songs I would want played at my funeral (Day 24’s topic).
