30 Day Song Challenge, Day 16: A Song You Used to Love but Now Hate

There are plenty of great ‘80s tunes but whenever either one of these plays on my iPod’s ‘80s playlist, I immediately skip them just because, while once cool in my book, they just don’t cut it anymore.

Modern English – “I Melt with You” (1982)

Once great, it’s been used in commercials for Burger King and some chocolate bar.

Honorable Mention: General Public – “Tenderness” (1984)

Sorry guys, but…nah. I’ve had enough of your tenderness.

  1. Yeah, I still dig this song and have it loaded up in my android phone and google music. The funny thing is this is the first time I have seen the video. Lol, the 80s!

    1. Those are still on my iPod’s ’80s playlist but I generally tend to skip them every time. Either way, yes, the ’80s left us with some incredible tunes which is why you can’t go a day without hearing one anywhere, especially on TV commercials or movies 🙂
