Here we go with the radio listening again!
Like I said in yesterday’s post, I just don’t give the radio much attention anymore. But I guess if I had to choose just one song I wish I heard a lot more, it would be this one.
The Smithereens – “Strangers When We Meet” (1986)
The Smithereens are one of my favorites not only on record, but live as well. I got a chance to see them a few times back in the day and they kicked major ass. This is an example of one of the best tunes from their debut album Especially for You which also has “Behind the Wall of Sleep” (which I will sing whenever I hear it) and “Blood and Roses”.
Then there’s “Cigarette” and “In A Lonely Place“, too. It’s an epic album that I highly recommend.
