The inspiration for this post hit me yesterday while at work. I had to look up the spelling of a word in the trusty ol’ Merriam Webster dictionary sitting on my shelf.
I opened it up to a page that I thought was close to the word I was looking for and when I saw the guide words at the top, I had to laugh.
They were “numerous – nuts.”
So then I decided to skim through a little bit more and see what other nifty combinations I could come across. Here is what I found (sans the n-dash):
- High-speed hinge
- Faith fall apart (sounds like the lead singer of a rock band)
- Pom-pom poop
- Cranium crawler
- Jumpsuit jurisprudence
- Scarious scent
- Weary wedding march
- Precious predicament
Wanna have a go at it? Grab your nearest dictionary, find the best ones you can and post at least five of them in the comments section.
GO! And have a great weekend!
By the way, I hope the new blog design wasn’t too shocking. WordPress changed things around yesterday so I figured while I’m finding my way around the new place, I might as well make some changes. So there you go, and don’t be surprised to see more changes in the near future!
